After another year of planning, preparing, and adding all the fun touches, we're so excited to welcome youback for another magical Christmas. Whether you're coming for new decorations, twinkling lights, the perfect christmas tree, or a visit to see Frankincense, Sami, and Tiny Tim the reindeers, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Welcome to Appleton Christmas Barn

At Appleton Christmas Barn we have been selling Christmas Trees from our farm for over 75 years, for many families it has become a Christmas tradition to visit us and to pick out their tree for the festive period. Being a family-run business, family is at the heart of everything we do.

Our friendly, knowledgeable staff will help you find your perfect tree by talking through the merits of each variety for the situation you have, then showing you as many different individual trees as it takes until you find exactly the right one.

Sustainably Grown

The trees we sell are grown in the UK by members of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association who champion sustainably grown, naturally beautiful British Christmas Trees.

Christmas Decoration Shop

In 2008 we added the Christmas Decoration Shop offering thousands of products from over 45 different suppliers giving a unique shopping experience for quality Christmas decorations for the tree and home. They have all been hand-selected by Ione herself, each chosen for their charm, craftsmanship, and ability to being festive magic into every corner of your home. From timeless classics to unique statement pieces, every item reflects Ione's eye for quality and her love of Christmas.

Our Reindeer

Every year we are accompanied by some of Santa's helpers before their big and busy night on Christmas.

Tiny Tim (though not so tiny now) has been with us for fourteen years and is now quite the old sage. He is a sweet, gentle-natured creature with his grand antlers.

Sami came to us as a calf in 2021. He has grown into a very handsome fellow, but Tiny still keeps him in line.

Last year, we had a very exciting new addition in Frankincense, who was born here in May. He is Bonnie and Sami's calf. He is a cheeky sprite and has given us all a lot of pleasure watching him grow up - he is nearly as big as Sami already.

We can't wait for you to come and meet them all at the Barn.

Please note that we do not charge admission - it is free for all to visit as many times as you like!

Come and visit us in our store to see our hand-selected Christmas decorations, lights and stocking fillers. Please check back regularly as they may change.

We will be opening for Christmas 2025 on Friday 14th November.

Last day open will be Wednesday 24th December when we will close at 5pm.
